Then you're in for a treat at this LoDo dueling piano bar, where you can sing, dance and hoooooowl the night away. Ophelia's history is celebrated in the sensual decor and on the large sunken stage and dance floor. This "gastrobrothel" is housed in the historic Airedale building, which has been, at various times, a brothel, peep-show parlor and adult bookstore. The latest addition to chef and restaurateur Justin Cucci's Edible Beats restaurant group - which includes Root Down (a converted filling station) and Linger (a former mortuary) - Ophelia's Electric Soapbox is also one of Denver's hottest dance spots. This cavernous venue provides live music six nights a week, country dancing, two-step and line dance lessons, national touring acts, and not one but two mechanical bulls. This historic Grizzly Rose, a world-famous honky tonk, has hosted almost every major country star, from Garth Brooks and Willie Nelson to Faith Hill and Taylor Swift. Although Cervantes' Masterpiece and The Other Side operate independently of each other, the two sides are connected, allowing patrons to flow back and forth. This Welton Street venue has been attracting Mile-High music fans since the building's early days as the Casino Cabaret, when it hosted the likes of Duke Ellington, James Brown, B.B.
